yea was it you that asked if they could be made clear? I was saying that a guy does it to the other sidemarkers so it can be done to those ones too.

Wonder how he does it. Can't be too hard he doesn't chargethat much. I wonder if he heats it up or uses a solvent to hot the yellow off?

I assume you would simple replace the yellow lense with a clear one. It is a fairly easy shape, just need to fuse the new lense to the assembly or create a new assembly.

Holy thread resurrection, Batman! Just remove the fender liner and replace the 194 bulb in there with a 194 LED bulb.

Only one problem with clearing those (reading the earlier posts)... They are required to meet FMVSS/CMVSS. Might look good, but definitely not legal.

I didn't want to create a new thread so thought it was better to get this up.

Replacing the bulb wouldnt give it the same look as the above, I'm willing to fabricate something, I guess the owner bought single LED's and then mounted and wired them onto a circuit board ..

If the owner doesn't reply soon I'll just order a bunch of LED's and start playing around !

Sorry...I didn't notice that was a string of LED's. Yes, he mentioned in his post that he used 5mm LED's but would use 10mm next time.

    Re: LED Turn Markers

Considering the reflector remains orange, what color LED's would be better? White or Orange?

And I guess what type of resistors would be needed?

    Re: LED Turn Markers

I'm not sure about the resistors, but looking at the superbrightleds.com website, it says to use the same color LED's as the lens so I would go with amber LED's.

That is mostly correct. I basically fabricated an LED cluster out of 5mm amber LEDs. The rear ones were built the same way, but with red LEDs. I havent done anything with them since I originally built them so i havent tried 10mm LEDs.
