So just over 3x your original cost into it .... I was pretty good on my guess for the Jeep then... So you going to put $150k into the STS then?

    Hi skinny,
I have one. I am actually selling my 2006 STS. The lockpick is in there now, but I am not sure people appreciate what it is and what it does. So, I could take it out and sell it to you. I'd rather help a forum owner out who is knowledgeable and knows what they have. Make me an offer!

    Re: Official STS Lockpick Thread

I've had a problem for some time and only recently have I discovered it is related to the lock pick.

If I start nav guidance, the arrow that indicates where you are stops moving and kind of twitches and rotates a bit. But never moves and therefore I get no guidance. BUT, as soon as I disable the lock pick with the source button, the nav immediately correctly locates me and begins guidance. Again, if I try to turn it back on (the lock pick that is) the arrow indicating my position instantly freezes and I get the same symptoms. Normal? (Doubt it) or faulty? I bought it from the place Tom told me to buy it.

That's normal Guy. When the lock pick is engaged it disables GPS by disconnecting the antenna.

There are 3 things it has to disable.......GPS, the Vehicle Speed Sensor, and pretend the car is in park.

The idea is you engage it, make your changes you want or enter an address, then disengage it.

I miss mine, but it went bad with an intermittent problem.

    Quite right.

Also, if your intention is to play a DVD, the nav isn' t going to do you much good.

Unless you have the HUD option. It provides about 95% of the directions I need to see.
