For $1000 I'm sure Tomm would make one special lol.

LOL.. Have not visited the forum in a while but since I am finally trading my baby in (Hopefully this weekend) I figured I would stop by and see what was going on with the STS forum. I dont really miss making these modified units because they took so much of my time. Reason I stopping making them was because demand diminished when the STS was killed off and I used my STS to test each and every unit before I shipped them and I was planning on getting rid of the STS. It will be gone very soon but I must say its been the best vehicle I have ever owned and the Northstar has to be the best engine ever built. I was considering the new XTS when I saw the new CTS this past weekend and now I am negotiating a deal on a new CTS VSport. Guess I will help Coastal get a Lockpick for the Cue once I pick one up since they dont have one yet for it.

Glad you aren't going after the XTS as its just an Impala with a caddy logo on it.
The new CTS VSport seems much more comparable to the STS than the XTS is. I'm sure Costal's bottom line will love you if you help them out like that. ... not to mention all the new CTS owners out there.
Be sure to drop in some photos of the new ride when it happens!

Hi Tom! Glad to hear you're well and keeping your hand in and staying involved. I hope you enjoy the CTS.

Bowtie - 1Bad and Luda are misleading you a bit. If your 2007 STS has a mute button, you don't need a Lockpick with the manual switch. I don't think they needed any modification at all, but Tom's the guy who can provide the final word.

Per Tomm some do some dont. It's a crap shoot. He always recommended a modified one in all 05-07 STS.

All current sold STS lockpicks rely on the new steering wheel controls that are only found in the 2008 and above. Even if you have a 2007 with a mute button the activation method is not the same so there is no longer a way to activate them. The very old Coastal Lockpics (No longer made for 3+ years) supported 2007's with a mute button.

    Very nice!

Surprised your not selling your own lockpick hahaha. That's gotta be 1/3 of a payment lol.

I'll take it. Pretty sure my other one has a flaky problem.

    Nice looking new ride!

Tomm, Is your new CTS smaller, larger or same size than an 05-11 STS. Danny

The original CTS was smaller but I find the new CTS to be larger than the old CTS and just about the same size as my old STS.
I really think the new CTS should have been called the new STS, Because its stance is almost the same and pricing is very close. My old 2005 STS Loaded was $67k, You can get a loaded 2014 CTS for around $70k, My Vsport was $61k.

Now Tomm, get to work on a lockpick for the CUE system so when those of us upgrade in the future there will be a lockpick waiting for us

Experience urges me to recommend you confine your role to Design Consultant, Tomm. Spend that 'hands-on time' with your family. Cue should generate the kind of volume sales to permit you to focus on only life's most valuable gifts.

Wishing you and yours the best life has to offer,

    Charlie
