    Re: Official STS Lockpick Thread

First time poster. I have an 05 sts, and want to lockpick it. The website says they need to be made, but before I ordered, I was wondering if parts are on hand to make or do they need to be ordered. Site says 3-4 days to make (after ordered is placed) and was wondering if that is still in effect.

    Thanks

I placed my order for the same unit on a Wednesday, it shipped the following Monday, and I had it by Thursday.

Yes, We are still producing them and most of the time we are on schedule or ahead of schedule. Only exception was this past weekend when I was sick and it pushed the scheduled units 2 days behind schedule. At this time we are all caught up and there are no back-orders.

Reading the thread would be beneficial in answering your question maybe.

    Just a thought.

    Quickly...

If you don't have Nav, you don't care. If you do, you want one.

Is there a trick to get GPS to lock again?

I have gone on several road trips for well over 20-30 minutes and still have the slash through GPS.

I didnt know if I am supposed to try to start guidance for it to lock or what.

    Any suggestions?

Deactivate the lockpick and the GPS signal will return. As listed many times when activated the Lockpick disrupts the GPS Signal in order to unlock the menu's and features.

Someone sticky this to the front page in the thread please:

THE LOCKPICK WILL NOT ALLOW THE GPS TO WORK AND VIDEO IN MOTION SIMULTANEOUSLY. WHEN THE SWITCH IS ENGAGED, THE SIGNAL TO THE GPS AND VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) IS CUT OFF WHICH ALLOWS THE VIDEO IN MOTION TO WORK. CONVERSELY, WHEN YOU WANT THE GPS TO WORK, DISENGAGE THE SWITCH WHICH WILL DISABLE VIDEO IN MOTION.

I asked the same question, but after having the time to sit down and read through all 20 pages of the thread, this question has been asked and answered about 47 times.

I am buying an NAV System on ebay for my non NAV 2005 STS. Can anyone confirm these lockpicks are still being produced? It has been several months since anyone posted in this thread.

    Thank You.

Tomm will answer to correct me if I'm wrong, but it was posted in a different thread just a week or so ago that 05-07 lockpicks are still being made, however, those model years are built upon order which just adds a couple days to the delivery time.
