single CD swap to 6 disc

Is it a "simple" plug & play to swap out the single CD player with the factory 6 disc changer? I get nervous when it comes to cutting and splicing but living with the single CD player sucks.

    TIA

I doubt that there is an input to your factory system on the radio. meaning even if you get a changer, you probably will not be able to control it from the radio. usually you get a changer installed and it is hardline, FM modulated and you turn your radio to __._ FM and you will have to use a remote to change CD's. A hardline FM modulator will give you the best sound quality versus a wirelss transmitter. But even then, if you live in a big city, quality at best will be okay. There is just not that much out there for the STS. If someone tells you they can, ask them specificaly if they have done an STS before. If they tell you, "It's the same as any other Cadillac/GM install", just walk away.
