They are first re-programmed at the dealership level if possible and if a replacement is needed it is a depot exchange. The depot does a plug-in diag and re-flash of the unit to the latest rev. and if it passes it goes back out as a replacement.
The servicing dealer can request a new OEM replacement unit but only if they determine a specific need for it.
Units in need of a true repair are shipped back to Denso who may or more likely will not do anything other than run the diags to t-shoot the root cause and then destroy the unit.
GM uses a remove and replace policy rather than a repair and return one... |

What do the gyros do, and why would we want to bypass them? |

For example, one member could start with codes 000000-000100 then the next member could try codes 000101-000200 and so on, until we crack a code? Seems like a long shot, but if we want to unlock the features, it may be worth it... |

Together we have about 470,000 miles collected between them. Do you really think it would be unreasonable to ask GM that if I answer "I Agree", let's say 10,000 times... that they could QUIT ASKING ME???!!!
How about just a disclaimer that states "By shifting the gear selector out of Park, you agree to these terms".
Luckily, the oldest one we have is the 94 Fleetwood TS. This one still asks us to "agree" but will allow videos to play and addresses to be put in while moving.

04-01.
04-78.
After each error it showed a date and time. I am guess when the errors occurred. I ran the self check and it said no errors detected???
Anyone have any idea what the codes are? |

The code was something like 296645. I used it and it worked. I forgot the number and can't find the link anymore. Can someone please point me to it.
Thanks |

I have found some other codes that work on the STS NAV but they all lead to the same screen and all do the same things. There has to be more codes to let you do more.
So far these codes work but do nothing more than the 9448 code.
