That's about right. Expecting Consumer Report to give a good review of an American car is like expecting Sean Hannity to say something nice about Democrats.

Re: Consumer Reports Best and Worst 2007

Well, the 05s had some bizarre issues, and then there's people with diff leaks and failures. New model from a company trying to do new things. It happens.

Well, I could use that extra 4 inches in the back seat but must say the first 20K in my 05 have been trouble free.

Re: Consumer Reports Best and Worst 2007

What's funny is that they *recommended* the car last year.

BTW, they are only giving thumbs down to the V8.

The great looking Audi A6 which they panned (and has horror stories of trannies and engines failing *BEFORE* 30K on the Edmunds forums) is now recommended!

There are some electronics issues seen here in this forum that GM needs to work out with the gorgeous STS. I hope that swift kick in the gnads from Consumer Reports will get them into gear to fix the VR, the Nav and other problems reported by their customers.

Re: Consumer Reports Best and Worst 2007

Comsumer Reports are BS. How is it even possible to recommend a car one year and say it was the worst car the next give past performance...

Re: Consumer Reports Best and Worst 2007

I don't care what Consumer Reports says, it just like a politics, they say what they've been pay to say.but in Japan/Europe/ and else where, driving STS it's a status.

I have the same leak. A few drops in the garage each month.

Re: Consumer Reports Best and Worst 2007

I just read an article this week in the local newspaper on customer satisfaction. Caddilac ranked second best to Jaguar. I'm not sure who performed the survey. It may have been consumer report. It was in this weeks paper. I'll try to find it and post.
