Funny issue when pairing STS bluetooth with a Pocket PC
Yesterday I was trying to connect my new Windows mobile phone (HTC Hermes, Cingular 8252) with STS bluetooth...
It kept giving me connection faliure... first the passkey was 12345, then 99999999, then 1111... etc.
I also tried to connect from both sides but didn't work...
I gave up ... However, yestreday I tried once again (lol i never lose it)... I changes the passkey to 999908 and don't ask me why that one exactly... clicked on search button in the STS display, found my phone, and chose it... I typed the passkey in the phone... the STS display again shows "Connection Faliure" as usual... the new thing is, when i looked at the phone.. it added "Cadillac STS" as a paired device and specifically as hands-free... I looked again at the STS screen and i found my PDA name in the registered devices... i tried calling and receiving calls, it worked like a charm...
I'm very happy with it... but why it says "connection faliure" when it connects and why it didn't connect from the first time, I have noooooo idea...

Re: Funny issue when pairing STS bluetooth with a Pocket PC
My Treo's web site shows all GM car kits as incompatable. So, sometimes my Treo connects and works and sometimes it doesn't. My Blackberry needed a firmware update for it to work properly. You guys should check your phone's web site for GM compatability information and updated firmware.
