Wow! what a difference airflow makes. Just had Lou Ehlers Cadillac (L.A.) install this dual exhaust and all i have to say is WoW! Feels like an extra 40-50HP. I raced my business partner in a 1/4 mile he has a M3 BMW and let me just say " smoked him off the start!" Highly recomended for all enthusist. A must have for every 06 STS.

  • No welding required; Bolt-on installation.
  • Includes hardware and illustrated installation guide.
  • 50-state emissions legal.
  • cadillas STS exhaust system complies with 95-decibel limit when tested in accordance with SAE test procedure, J1169 (May 1998).

Re: Corsa exhaust

OK. So I really want to get a Corsa axle-back system, but... I love my torque. Has anyone with a Corsa noticed any loss of torque? I don't care about any gain in HP because I really don't need more top speed, I just love being pushed into the seat during acceleration. Thanks!

I put a catback Gibson on a 5.9 Ram. The 5.9 is so slow that I didn't even notice, so I don't have anything to compare against.

Re: Corsa exhaust

I installed a Corsa axle back on my STS-V. We had to bend the hangers to make it fit (Corsa does not make a STS-V specific model). I like the sound and it is quieter than the stock exhaust at fwy cruising speeds. I haven't notice any more power though nor any loss of low speed torque. I can still light up the rear tires easily from a slow first gear roll.

Re: Corsa exhaust

Thanks for the input. A V8 with some rumble IS the American dream! I'm also thinking about just replacing the stock muffs and going with magnaflows, keeping the outlets stock.

Re: Corsa exhaust

I think borla has a nice sound, but you'll have to get universal mufflers, and corsa just sounds nice when you want it to be loud. magna flower is no muscle car for the cadillac's styling, and flowmaster, well you shouldnt of gotten a caddy at that point for that muffler system.

What?

That didn't make any sense.

Re: Corsa exhaust

I guess it depends on the application and particular muffler model, but it doesn't seem that the flowmaster or magnaflow have the quality that corsa and borla both have. I do like that the Corsa system is quiet when it should be, after all it is a Cadillac.

Define "luxury sound".

For 99% of people that means "quiet" or "not heard".

Re: Corsa exhaust

Borla had a cat back system that they had a discontinued sale about a year ago now. It's still sold on gmpartsdirect. Comparing the sounds on youtube, IMO Corsa sounded a lot nicer though, and thats what made me chose Corsa over Borla and I love it!

Re: Corsa exhaust

luxury sound if you want to hear it, is something with a strong ton, but not loud and screaming like you could get. borla and corsa have a quieter and more solid lower tone. flowmaster gives you a really good flow and you hear a wider range of sound frequencies. i know most ppl think luxury think quiet, but for those that want sound there is content and there is over done.

Re: Corsa exhaust

I chose Corsa over the Borla because the Corsa has no drone. Borlas have some drone at cruising speeds. I also got lucky and purchased the Corsa new in box for $350 delivered on Ebay.
