I received the part number from gmpartsdirect.com, they have it listed for $224.25 total including shipping. However they can not guarantee this will fit. I do like the factory piece better than the E&G. Thanks |

I talked to a Cadillac rep at the SEMA in Las Vegas regarding the mesh grill for non - v vehicles. He told me that in no way would Cadillac make a mesh grill for the regular STS. They wanted to keep the allure and snob appeal of the V separate from the other models. Just food for thought. |

You'll be able to tell right away if the front fascia is different on the V. E&G's upper and lower fits the standard STS. |

With this in mind I would think the V grill would fit well, or with some easy modifications, as everything the grill attaches to is plastic. The openings look the same. If you do have a Caddy dealer nearby then go by and measure the openings and take a pic of the area with the hood open.
I think it should fit with at worst some hole making. |

I ended up ordering it from another GM parts supplier who was able to tell me it should fit, and all the mounting hardware looks the same. I'll be sure to let you guys know how the install goes.

(the one up top that you started with?) Any idea if that will fit the 2005 STS? I"ve been thinking of doing the same thing this spring... |

I am planning to put the STS-V grill on my STS as well. |

| | Cadillac Owners Fanatic | | | | | Re: STS-V mesh grill upgrade, Not E&G grill I don' know what you mean by flat and thick. I've seen their CTS V style grille and it follows the contour of the front fascia. It comes to a point just like the factory grille. Also, the center mesh is chrome plated and looks great. Quote: |

To me the lower and side bars in the V grill appear to be slightly beveled, and the E&G appears to be flat. I also believe the E&G lower and side bars appear to be thicker (wider). I know E&G sells both the upper and lower grills in chrome. Since the stock lower grill is already stainless the factory upper stainless V grill should match.
I'll make sure to take some photos after the installation although I still have no guarantee that it fits... |

Mine supports the adaptive cruise control and the emblem is indeed sunken into the wire mesh unlike the non-adaptive E&G picture above. The frame is perhaps a TINY big larger than the Cadillac version in the picture above and it is flat (versus beveled) - but it truly looks great, certainly a thousand times better than that hunk of plastic that comes standard with the STS.

-Mike | did it have any effect on the adaptive cruise control system? | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
