i'm sure you already knew this, but there is a secondary trigger that disables the above 6mph functions!! in other words, that hack works fine for about 30sec, then it gets a signal from somewhere else, and disables those functions again. what is it?
also, what is process to reset radio?
THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NOT TRIED THIS, MAY WANT TO HOLD OFF UNTIL I FIGURE OUT THE REST. GEEK????? |

I contacted the guys in mexico at mobiletech.com.mx. They said they will have a US supplier in 2 weeks but they did not indicate what the cost of the module will be. I have attached a picture of the module.
I am curious to know if anyon else has contacted them or already has this module and if it really works. |

WE ARE ALL ROBO'S HERE.WHY NOT TELL US A FIX ONLY WORKS SHORTLY. WHY BE ASHAMED,WHY MAKE US DO YOUR SAME MISTAKES. GIVE US THE LOWDOWN AND WE CAN PUT YOUR MISTAKES WITH OWERS AND FEEL MUCH BETTER IN A SHORTER TIMEFRAME. WE ALL UNDERSTAND THAT THEIR HAS TO BE AN EASY SOLUTIOIN TO THIS, NOT SOME QUICK 30 SECOND VAPOR SLIGHT OF HAND. BE RESPCTFUL OF US FOLK. |

yes...geek has gotten back to me, and informed me that there is a secondary trigger that slipped his mind. he did say he would look into it for us, but we'll see.
i believe that the other signal comes in the grey plug for those who are inclined.
but for now...i have a switch that i can trip if i need to do something one time...set destination, etc. |

here is something interesting. I was installing one of the newer pioneer nav radio, and customer asked me to by pass e_brake wire, sure, why not, and I grounded, then we went for a test drive and I saw the error message on the screen telling me that vehicle must be in park.
WTF
so I called my body and asked him what's the deal. and he told me that new pioneer nav radio have a gyro sensor built in. so, there is nothing I can do then. few days later I was on one of the Pioneer Nav forum, and the guy there posted a thread on how to fix this issue. and it was crazy simple. on the pioneer harness was an empty pin, and if you insert wire into that pin and ground it, it overide the Gyro sensor.
I hope you guys understand where I'm going with that.
on the connectors behined of STS Radio, are several empty pins.
anyway, I'm out of radio right now, blew up mine (long story)
once I get my radio back I defenately going to try it. for some reason I've got feeling that this is it. |

The GPS antenna goes directly into the radio/nav/DVD system. They are using both VSS and GPS to detect movement. You would have to kill your GPS input as well as the VSS signal to trick the system into thinking you were stationary. You can disconnect the GPS antenna or for a test the GPS antenna is located in the dash so to test the theory cut the VSS wire and cover the center of the dash with something metallic like aluminum foil (make sure the nav display is showing GPS with a slash through it) and see if it works then. If it does then the GPS antenna input will have to be switched off with the VSS signal also. |

we need to find STS owner with Nav Radio from Europe or Japan. If they can confirm that they can operate Nav in Motion or blue tooth while in motion. then it's good news for us, coz we can ask them to take their radio out, and take a pic of radio plugs, then I can compare wiring with our plugs, and see the pins, |
