Once again (over & over) the Saab does not get credit, where credit is due. Their top of the line 9.5 AERO has had ventilated & cooled front seats since 2001. In addition, they have an air conditioned glove box which will KEEP a cold can of soda placed in there....cold. No, it will not make a warm can cold...but will keep a cold can....cold.
Saabs remind me of Imperials, in that no matter what they ever invent (or in the case of the Imperial (inventED), it's always somebody else who gets credit for the invention.
Case in point:
I recall the 1971 Imperial my folks had. It had headlight washers. Not that crap the BMW/M-B have today, but two small under the hood reservors, seperate from one & other. In # 1 you put a solution of 1 part liquid soap to 4 parts water. In the 2nd reservor you put plain water, with a little vineger like a tablespoon of it. When you activated the headlight washers, first it squirted from reservor #1 the soapy water, then each headlight had its own brush with an arm that attached to a motor that scrubbed the headlight clean, and then a telltale "all done" light came on and you pushed the button again, and the water/vinegar solution squirted that; to rinse away the dirt & soapy water.
Now-a-days the German "luxury" cars (all things here are relavent) feature a single squirter, that squirts H2o onto the headlight. What good does that actually do? Yet, 9 times outta 10, it's BMW or Mercedes that is given credit for the Headlight Washing "system" Ummmm. "System" ???
This is a "system" :-
