Look at this Cadillac Wifi !

Found this while surfing around the other day.

They have some thing like this for sale at advanced auto parts. It's $399.99 and then you have to buy a plan for the airtime. It gets mounted in the trunk and is kinda like one of those mi-fi mobile hotspots that Sprint and Verizon have.

If it only provides WiFi within the car to handheld devices, then it's really not that big of a deal. Those have been availble for several years.

However, if this truly integrated with the car itself and provided updated navigation, traffic, weather, news, messaging... whatever... then THAT would be truly innovative.

Yeah if its not integrated with the car thne just go to Verizon or Sprint and buy one of their new Aircards. This let up to 5 people connect at once, then just plug it up to a power port in the car and store it. Then you are good to go.
