2005 frt bumper

i read a lot of people are changing frt bumper to 08. any body got a frt stk bumper for sale. 2005 sts NOT DRILLED FOR LICECE PLATE.

I just got my 0 bumper cover in today. I will be installing it this weekend and then I will have a bumper cover, and grill. My car is black so the bumper will be black.

That got my curiosity going. I googled which states require 2 plates and was surprised to see that the majority do require 2--there are only 19 that require 1. The holders are placed in the trunk and are dealer installed as needed. I've had a couple of situations were the dealer installed the front holder when it wasn't even required--not a nice thing.

I talked to a few GM dealers when I was looking for the 08-09 front bumper that I just got, and I was told by two of them that they do not come from gm with the holes drilled, and that only the dealers do it.

Yes in Texas you need a front plate. I rented a car a couple months ago that had Texas plates and it had one on the front.

On the STS, the holder comes with rivets. The bumper is drilled at the molded in dimples and rivetted on. I just sold mine on Ebay. It is placed in the trunk in a baggie with rivets and instructions. It used to be VK3on all GM cars but that may have changed.

You should get a ticket for having a front plate on an STS. That is the crime!
