I've read several references to a checklist that is performed by a dealer's service department in order for a car to be sold as 'Certified Pre-Owned'. When I recently bought my 2006 STS4 V8 1SG w' 42,500 miles, I negotiated to get the CPO coverage. The VIN Check now shows the CPO extended warranty (thanks lusterblade). So obviously, I am covered.
However, I don't think the car ever saw the service department to be 'Certified'. Shortly after the purchase, I discovered the 255/45x18 tires on the front and the 235/50x18's on the rear. The previous owner had his dealer rotate the tires! My dealer made that good but a Service Engine light that came on has led to some other items. And now I'm waiting for them to get the latest Nav. upgrade, replacement ignition switch, etc.
If someone could share the CPO checklist, I'd like to make sure there's nothing else that should get attention while I have it in the shop.
Thanks in advance...
