Nav Screen Failure

Just purchased 2007 STS with Nav. After several hours of programing, the Nav screen did not come on and the the control buttons would not work. The CD player came on instead and played but the other buttons would not eject or control it. Any suggestions?

Re: Nav Screen Failure

The car should still be under warranty unless it is a high mileage vehicle. I would just take it to the dealer and make them replace the whole unit. (make sure they do the latest software upgrade on it too)

You could try disconnecting the positive terminal on the battery for 20 minutes or so to see if everything resets if you don't want to make the dealer fix it.

Re: Nav Screen Failure

This has happened to me 3 times in the 2 1/2 years I have had my 06'. The problem goes away after about 15 to 20 minutes after the car is off. Hopefully this is the same problem as I have had and not a warranty issue. In any event, i would take it to the dealer and see if you have the most up to date software.
