Front headlight lens

I just noticed my fright front headlight lens looks like it was burned from inside leaving like a small rectangular mark on the lens..Would this be covered by warranty as it was not damaged from the outside..somehow there was a defect and the lamp burned the plastic?

which year and model? and does it have halogen or hid?

Its a 2005 STS and I am not sure if it halogen,,better description is it blistered by heat from the inside.I thought they were all halogen.How can I tell?

HID's give off a brite white light while halogen's are more a normal white. Hid's take a second or two to warm up and the halogens are instant. Turn on your headlights and hi-beams, if they look the same then you have the halogens. If your car is still under warranty then replacement will be covered.

Unless you put in a non approved replacement lamp, which I assume you didn't, and your vehicle is still under warranty, it should be covered.
