Would an STS-V grill fit on a standard STS?

Re: STS-V Grill vs STS

NO, it will not. the bumper is different. you have to use an aftremarket mesh style like the one from E&G Classic.

( in case anyone was wondering, the CTS-V grille fits the standard CTS. )

Re: STS-V Grill vs STS

thanks for the info. Not real happy about the way the emblem looks on the aftermarket ones E&G Classics sells. Guess I should have bought an STS-V then, huh.

Re: STS-V Grill vs STS

yeah i have the E&G grill, it comes with a black circle thing you are supposed to put on the grill and then put the emblem on that, i didnt use that piece. i thought it looked kinda stupid. i just put a new wreath and crest right on the mesh. looks much better...

to be honest with ya, the E&G grille is a very good quality made grille.
i'm in the auto body repair business and have seen a lot of junk parts in my time. i am impressed with the quality of their grille. i have had it on my '05 STS for about a year now, the chrome is still like new. im very happy with mine.

Re: STS-V Grill vs STS

I was over Caddy dealership today (well, i go there everyday) and asked their accessories guy about the V Grill. this is what he told me: If the vehicle is not equiped with ACC, then it's not a problem. He said He did hundreds of them. if this is not true, plz don't throw tomatos @ me, I just go from what I've been told.
now here is important difference between E&G vs GM grill. E&G mesh is polished, and GM grill is real chrome.

Re: STS-V Grill vs STS

You should have a Gap button on your stearing wheel....and look at your emblem if it a plastic one with the logo painted on thats cuz ACC is right behind that.

You would also know because you would have the HUD.. You would definately have noticed this before because you would see your speed and other info right in the windshield.

Re: STS-V Grill vs STS

So ass long as we don't have ACC we can go with the V grille...not that there is a whole lot of a price difference between the GM one and the E & G...I would like to know if this is true though cause the guy at my dealership will give me a good deal on one.
