STS V8 Performance Chips

$8.49... Is this a joke or is this guy realling selling a performance chip for less than $10?

I have seen these chips for everything from corvettes to escalades all for under $10.00. In this day and age I am convinced that you get what you pay for so just imagine what $9.00 can get u horsepower wise. I’m guessing somewhere around .0003%

At the same time he could have purchased a real perfomance chip from someone else and just copied the data and put it on a blank chip for close to nothing so anything is possible? Anyone buy any of these ebay items?

beware of Ebay auctions not bearing actual photos of the product... it's probably just one of those resistors that's used to fool the ECM into thinking the intake air temperature is colder
some of the feedbacks on this seller say "not a chip" or "doesn't work"

This is most likely a small transistor that "tricks" your Air Temp sensor into thinking the incoming air is colder than it really is, artificially raising your timing. These have been sold for LS1's for years. Probably will not be able to feel any difference...

There is no place to install a chip in an STS ECM unless you plan on soldering something in.

Thats exactly what it is. They fooled me when I was 17 and bought one for my eclipse i had.
