fog light HID upgrade

I just got done converting my H3 halogen fogs to HID. PITA! Maybe I'm slow, but it took me 2.5 hrs. Here's how I did it in case anyone is interested:
Use jack that came with car to lift front drivers side, remove wheel. Remove about 10-11 plastic push pins holding in front portion of plastic wheel well. Then remove front portion of plastic wheel well. You can actually do it with wheel still on, just less working room when you have to mount ballast, plug in wire harness, install bulb. Next unscrew back of sealed fog lamp housing. From here on I think it depends on the kit you get. I had to drill 23mm hole in plastic fog lamp housing cover and the kit that I bought came with entire wireharness / bulb / rubber grommet to seal hole that was drilled. Now, for the ballast placement, I unscrewed the forward most 10mm bolt (pointing in 12 o'clock position) that holds on the L hand side of the bumper and I attached the ballast there. I then repeated entire thing on passenger side. Passenger side probably only took 30-45min start to finish including removing/installing wheel. Lights look killer. 4300K. Oh ya, entire kit for both fogs cost total of $78 including shipping from China on ebay. Lights were actually made in Japan. Don't buy anything made in China, quality isn't there for the most part.

Yea I did mine too a few months ago, I did the 8000k (blue), I also did my headlights in 4500k (crystal white), looks very identical to the 2008 HID's for the V6.

Here's a pic!

Seller mydepots

I will say they work and look great, but have nothing to compare them to. I really have no reason to recommend for or against seller.

I think the lighting kit he used mounted through a 23 mm hole drilled to accept it. Perhaps the old socket is still there.
