I am very impressed. Cost less than $300 installed. These are not your traditional Flowmasters. These are very quite in the cabin. I can hardly hear it. Outside, it is noticeable. Very deep, not really load, but you know it is not stock.
I have never heard a corsa in person but my friend has a borla on is GS 430. Very similar tone and no drone.
At 65 mph it sounded stock, no drone at all. Seriously, none. A huge improvement over the 40 series delta flows.
It was a very tight fit. The 50 series are long. It took 1:15.
I have not driven it enough to notice HP or MPG differences.
The bottom line is if you are looking for a low cost alternative to Corsa or Borla, the 50 series delta flows are the way to go. |

The cheapest I could find was at AJUSA. http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/stores/...4497633eee4fa4
For $86.55 each plus free shipping, I stopped looking around.
I had to go to 2 muffler shops to get someone to put these on. It is a tight fit, very tight. A lazy exhaust man won't want to mess with it. I had to pay $115 OTD.
I ordered the 2.5 inch IN/OUT thinking it was 2.5 stock. Evidently it is 2.25 inch IN/OUT. They were still able to make it fit.
I have never heard a Corsa, on a Borla on a STS. It sounds very similar. Perhaps my ears are poor, but I could not tell a difference. Given that, I think it is ridiculous to spend an extra $700 for something that would give me little or no marginal gain in utility. |

Flowmaster exhaust kit was $340 delivered--Borla, Corsa, etc., over $1000. I am very pleased with the FM sound, and doubt the competition sounds $600-700 better! The only difference is the FM is not all stainless, but who cares--can't see it anyway, plus rust shouldn't be an issue.
Benjamin--did you keep the same tips, or go with new ones? |

I just did the mufflers. There is not a kit that I know of for the STS.
Sorry guys, I do not have a camera. Unless you are under the car, you cannot tell any difference. The pipes come out at the same place.
It is really cool now. People turn their heads not because what the hell is that loud thing, but rather what is different about that thing. Looking at their faces though the tint, I see curiosity not disgust. Maybe it is just my imagination. |

I like to rumble by all the mustangs around here with their loud exhaust, I'm sure their like "which car is making that rumble"...... | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
