That's very subjective. IMO it has a lot to do with the overall appearance of the SRX (or any other Cadillac for that matter). Tacky it is not. 'In your face?', maybe a little bit.

Edit: To be clear, I like it - probably the 'classiest' auto logo second only to a Rolls.

I vote for the wreath. I think it acts as a king of flag. A bit 'in your face?' Perhaps, but I've earned it.

    Re: Remove that wreath

Sorry but I like the wreath too, however if you really want to remove it, I believe it's adhesive bonded. If so, take a piece of fishing line and "saw" it left and right behind the wreath. The line will cut through the adhesive. Be careful not to cut into the plastic grill as the fishing line will do that equally as well.

Hope this helps....(Really don't like the wreath huh?)

    Re: Remove that wreath

I like the classy wreath, its a Cadillac tradition. Seeing it go away on the newer vehicles is sad (glad our '13 has it), but I understand the desire for manufactures to periodically update their logos (well, except for Ford).

    Re: Remove that wreath

Seems strange to me to try to remove it, as it appears several locations on the vehicle. Are you going to try to remove them all? That seems like you're destroying your 50k vehicle. If only one or two, it will look strange as you'll have different badges all over your beautiful vehicle.

For 2015+ being phased in, GM is changing the Caddy logo. Trying to remove your wreath looks like an attempt to replicate the new logo, but it still won't match as they also changed the shield shape and pattern.

    Just my two cents.

    Re: Remove that wreath

I took it off. Just my opinion, but it gives the grill a much cleaner look without it. Sorry guys but for some reason whenever I have a black Cadillac behind me at a red light and I look in the rear view mirror, I want to pull over like I have a hearse behind me. lol. So yes, I had that wreath hacked off of my car. I will post a pic. It looks nice without that oversized advertisement anyway.

No it was too big. Just not my style. I had it removed. I will try to post a picture.

    Re: Remove that wreath

I like the wreath myself, but I can see Cadillac's shift to remove it to appeal a new breed of customers who like the simplicity of the crest alone.

My first Cadillac see photo had two wreaths, one on the nose and also the hood ornament directly above if you look close.
