    20" black wheels

What is the RPO code or stock # for the 20" black wheels?
Wanting to change my bling chrome to flat black.
I've got the 20" Chrometech wheels that were an option on my 2012 SRX 4 Premium Collection that I just got and want to put the same wheel but black.
Any body tried painting over chrome?

I'm in the same boat (wanting to replace the bling chrome rims). Not sure there were ever black rims offered though.

As for painting you could go the "el cheepo" plasti-dip route to see if you like it (peal it off if you don't). Our rims are aluminum with a chromed plastic "hub cap" fused to the rim. I would think you could sand down the chrome (or at least scuff it) and have them permanently painted (platic under that chrome finish).

    Not black, but "midnight silver":

The SRX doesn't have factory black rims. Only the ATS does in the Cadillac lineup, and only for RWD ATS'.

    Thanks.
I saw black SRX 4 with black wheels and lug nuts (the same wheel we have except black)at a shopping center yesterday. Got out and looked close. Should have waited longer to the owner and what he did. Now I wonder how he got the black lugs.

Gloss or flat colour of black?
    Gloss I'm betting powdercoated/painted; flat, Plasti-Dip.

More than likely, although you can get a "glossifier" spray to coat over Plasti-Dip.

Bottom line is if you're not sure what you want, try Plasti-Dip (you can peel it off if you don't like it). If you know that's what you want then paint them (I don't think you can powdercoat plastic).

I have used the glossifier over the flat black plastidip and it makes little difference on that color.

Flat. The lug nuts too. Used the original Cadillac centers.
I'm going to guess that the wheels were Plasti-Dip. Who does that?
    The lugs could be aftermarket.

Any body shop can/could. Or a person could in their garage too. I will be doing it to my ATS wheels for winter.
We did it to my brother's '11 Silverado LTZ's 20" chrome rims (and step boards) too. Looks great when you do it right. Looks like horrible dog snot when not done right.
