    Wink Pulled the trigger (finally)

Picked up my new 2014 SRX premium AWD yesterday: Silver Coast with Shale-Brownstone. Chrome wheels, driver assist pkg, tow pkg. Just about everything other than the rear entertainment. Only 15 km on the odom.

Signed the papers in the AM, picked it up after lunch. Then went home and put in the garage and left on a business trip for two weeks. Oh well, she'll be waiting for me when I get home!

    Max.

PS - I can't stop smiling! My first Caddy!

Congrats! That's my color combination. I like it real well. In a lot of lights it looks like champagne in spite of that "silver" in the name.

Congrats on your first new Caddy!

BTW: Would someone please share their photos of that color combination, I would like to see it on the SRX.

Congrats - it sounds beautiful! I'm about two weeks hopefully from my car's arrival/delivery. I'm celebrating vicariously with you! Jim

Can't see the interior colors very well tho. That's the day I picked it up --added the OEM foglights shortly after. And, yes, that's a birthday present bow on the driver's side mirror. One of those birthdays ending in 0; nice present from the wife.

One of the handiest sites I've found... www.gtcarlot.com. Has full photo galleries of all makes and models. Go there, go to colour galleries, then select Cadillac, then SRX, then 2014. Then pick the colour you want to see. Opens lots of examples, inside and out. Gave me a chance to see all the various colours, wheels, what they look like with the clear rear tail light option, with mud flaps, what the optional interior mats look like, etc.

I'll post some pix once I'm back home. I definately want to get mud flaps! The snow, sand, and muck on the roads around here are murder!

Oh, and I was thinking of custom ordering, but was 3 days away from the close of the order desk and was told there could be a chance my custom order may not make it into production. Limited slots available during the last couple weeks. So I picked one that had exactly the options I wanted, but was my number 2 or 3 choice of colours-combo. And that way I could take advantage of the deals offered that were going to end at end of April.

Looks very nice! I had originally ordered that color but wasn't sure how I would like it .... so I changed my order back to "Flannel Grey".

But now after looking at it more I think it is a super choice. I wish you the best of luck with your new SRX!

Heh. EotM at that dealership was driving it as the bennie of being EotM, along with his own parking spot. Had 1,500 miles on it when I bought it, for which I got an additional $2,500 off the price --I think I was out-the-door at about $42,500 on a $48,500 sticker Lux SRX4 with nav/driver awareness. I don't know what he was driving the next day.

Great stuff Max, you'll always remember your first Caddy and it's a heck of a nice one at that!

The mud flaps fit great and really enhance the looks of the SRX.
