looking to replace 04 with 2010

We have a 2004 SRX, with only 88,000 miles, that my wife dearly loves BUT it has been problem after problem. THE latest was replacing a $1000.00 ECM, I am finished. So I am looking at to buy a 2010, 1 owner with only 24,000 miles Will it be the same or have they fixed it?

I would do a search on this forum for issues with the 2010 model SRX and decide if you are trading one car with problems for another....

I would not trade a first year model 2004 for another first year model 2010 - 2nd generation. The 2012 and up have been better plus you get the 3.6 engine which is preferred. 13 and up have CUE, so if you don't want that, 2012 would be the way to go.

If you can see your way, go for a 2012. Somewhat better than the 2010. I owned 2010 and it was okay, but nothing special. Electrical problems. I now own 2013, just love it. Not one problem in 13000 miles. The 3.6 engine is amazing, power, quite, fuel efficient, handling is great, style, appearance. You will get alot of looks.

As a 2010 owner, I wouldn't wish it on an enemy. Get something else unless you want years of repairs.

I did exactly as you; traded my 2004 with a 2010 and I have been exceptionally happy. My 2010 has been Rock solid in almost every way. Not ONE issue. I wouldn't hesitate to go for it.

I have been fortunate with my 10. Only replace drivers side headlight and had a leak under the glove box. It's been a really good car.

Better a base 2012 than a loaded 2010 IMHO. Stick to 2012 or newer, probably not to far off in price either. There's the 3.6L, additional sound deadening, the 3.6L, laminated glass, the 3.6L...... you see where I'm going with this right?
