    Hesitation

My 2012 SRX seems to have some hesitation when first moving on a cold engine. It's been to the dealer twice but they can find no "issue". I replaced the OEM air filter with a K&N but the problem remains. If you turn off the "ECO" mode is helps but still does not accelerate like it should?

    Hello btk301,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this hesitation in your SRX when first starting it on a cold engine. I also apologize that the dealership wasn’t able to duplicate the issue. Have you thought about taking your vehicle to another dealership for a second opinion? If you would like any assistance setting up an appointment, or would like to further discuss this concern, please feel free to private message me. You can also reach out to me at socialmedia@gm.com. Please be sure to include “ATTN GREG” in the subject line so it gets delivered straight to me. Thank you very much for your time.

My 2012 SRX also has this issue. It is only in ECO mode that I feel it. Please let us know if you find anything out. I thought it was just the way the ECM was programmed.

The mass air flow sensor may be contaminated. Some say the oil used on K&N filters can get in the air stream and cause the MAF sensor to malfunction. You might try cleaning it yourself. Cleaner is available at most auto parts stores.
