How to maintain radio power with vehicle turned off?

Have been taking our SRX to the drive in and cannot figure out how to keep the radio on for more than 10 minutes at a time? Does anyone know any tips on how to keep the radio on with the vehicle being off?
    Thanks in advance.

Press the START/ACC/STOP button with the engine off and your foot off the brake pedal. That will place the ignition system in the accessory mode. It works that way on my 2013.

Is this explained in the manual? Seems pretty straightforward. That's what happens when the "key" is eliminated.

Page 9-17 in the PDF version of the manual.

Not to belabor the issue but here is the direct quote from page 9-20 of my 2011 SRX manual: "ACC/ACCESSORY (Amber LED Light): This mode allows you to use some electrical accessories when the engine is off. With the ignition off, pressing the button one time without the brake pedal applied, will place the ignition system in ACC/ACCESSORY. The ignition will switch from ACC/ACCESSORY to OFF after ten minutes to prevent battery run down." I've experienced this for fact, accessory lasts only ten minutes.

Yes, but on my 2010 it only stays in accessory mode for 10 minutes.

I concur with you. As stated in my last sentence following the quote, I stated: accessory lasts only ten minutes. My 2011 shuts off after ten minutes just like your 2010.

Guess that's all the General thinks you need it. It's probably to save the battery.

Hold the button for at least five seconds to enable service mode. Maybe that will keep power on.
