All I can say is be very careful what you wish for. I took our '13 SRX in for the transmission update because of the recall notice we received and I wish I had never set foot into the service department. The car was perfect when I took it in but being the good Lemming that I am, complied with the notice that I received. Not only did they update the transmission software, but they did the memory seat update and the Cue update and now nothing works properly and is becoming increasing annoying every day. Even my wife, who loves cars and can be forgiving when something doesn't quite work as it should has resorted to taking pictures when things screw up in this car. It's one thing to "adapt" the way you use things when something doesn't quite work as advertised, but when they have a mind of their own and then stop working completely. there is no way to "adapt". I'm also tired of ECO mode being blamed for shoddy transmission operation. It worked perfectly when new but since the update, the transmission hunts for gears in ECO mode and when not in ECO mode shifts like a transmission out of a 56 Chevy. And then, this excuse of "we can't duplicate the problem so we can't fix it" is getting real old. I bought my first foreign car in November and it looks like this Cadillac will probably be my last American car if this crap keeps up. I'm usually very patient with these types of things, but quite frankly I tired of hearing my wife complain about the car and I'm becoming increasing fed up with the service department at the dealership and getting almost as fed up with Cadillac Customer Service. Anybody got a match?

I could not agree with you more. After all the updates now it takes 1-2 seconds after i press the forward button from the steering wheel for CUE to change the song. When it come to transmissions GM is simply 10-15 years behind the leading car companies. 6 speed lazy slush boxes are so 2000's especially for a luxury brand.
