Is the new 420 HP V6 Twin Turbo in the SRX future?
I am really hoping that this new engine might become an option for the SRX for all those members that can't get enough HP from the standard V6 engine we have now. This new turbo engine comes exclusively matted to an eight-speed transmission and the twin-turbo will have EPA ratings of 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.
Released on March 18th in a surprise announcement Cadillac has confirmed its engine selection for the 2014 CTS sedan. The new CTS is slated to debut next week at the New York Auto Show. According to the announcement the 3.6-liter twin-turbo V-6 will generate 420 horsepower and 430 foot-pounds of torque.
Below link was taken off of the GM-Inside-News website. We can only hope this engine might become an option for the SRX by 2015?

The only other car that I read it is currently slated for is the XTS. I think it said the XTX with this option will still stick to the 6 sp. I really don't think it'll ever reach the SRX
