    Which Tires to Buy

I am sorry if this has been asked before. I tried the search, but I can't figure it out. My basic question is this:

Do I want Michelin Latitude Tour or the Michelin Latitude Tour HP? I see that HP stands for high performance, but I am wondering if it is worth the price premium?

I am very happy with the Michelin Latitude's (which ones are they?) that came with the car. I got 56k miles on them (rotating frequently due to the service warranty.) I do not intend to continue rotating that frequently now that it is out of warranty though.

    Thanks in advance!

tirerack.com (or similar site); you plug in your vehicle information and they will list tires that fit (will even list O.E. tires if you want to stay with original rubber). There is much info at these type sites.

    ufgators....

My 2010 came with 20" wheels & tires. I have the premium collection model. The 20" makes the vehicle stand out!!!!!!What brand of wheels and tires are you getting? Putting 20" wheels will change your speedometer some, just for your info....The ride might be just alittle harder, thats what some owners say.... Enjoy!!!!!

Jay, many shops include free rotations with the purchase of new tires. You should utilize that option in order to maximize the life of your expensive investment.

The OEM tire for both 18 and 20 inch are 30 inches in diameter. Your speedometer will not be affected.

The classified section here would be a great place to start. I would consider buying them if the price is reasonable.

If your interested in fuel economy and good ride stay with the OEM, anything else will degrade from what you have now. As for rotation you should rotate about 6-8000 miles for best wear.
    allgm and allgm like this.

    Re: Which Tires to Buy

I replaced my 2010 SRX Premium tires with Yokohama Parada Spec X, but the tire noise was bad, so I exchanged them for the Michelin Latitude Tour HP, the tire noise is ridiculous. My SRX sounds like an off road 4x4. Anyone experience the same? Are there any alternatives?

    Re: Which Tires to Buy

Go to the Michelin site and look at the various tires that come in the sizes that fit our SRX. What you'll see is Michelin numerically rates various features and capabilities of each tire (things like dry road handling, wet road handling, snow, wear, road noise, etc). Pick the tire with scores of 8 or 9 in the features and capabilities most important to your style of driving. I'd look for a tire that is quiet, with excellent traction on wet and dry roads and that wears well.

Tirerack say the Prada is the #1 tire in its category. Click the survey tab
