    Transmission sound

Now the winter have struck Sweden. Lot of snow and cold. -20 centigrade. This causes the car to produce a lot of strange sounds.
Some of them has already been brought up in this forum.
I have a new, if I have not missed, that is very annoying. During the first 3-5 km there is a whining sound in the car. I think itīs the transmission.
It has more with the speed of the car to do than rpmīs. The sound "oooooooooooooooooo" comes both at acceleration and retardation.

    Anyone with ideas??!!

    Re: Transmission sound

I think if the sound disappears itself after 3-5 km of the way - you have nothing to worry about IMO.
Looks like the oil in your transmission changes the structure and after a few Kms that becomes warmer and works properly.
