Locations and numbers of DC and USB inputs

Taking delivery of my 2013 SRX later this week. So, I still have a lot of questions about where everything is located compared to the 2010 that I am trading in.

I am going to be using both an iPod and a phone in the vehicle.

I realize the phone goes into the CUE storage bin. It *appears* that there is only one USB (illuminated) plug in the storage compartment. Am I correct? If so, you can't fit both a phone and iPod there.

So where does the iPod plug in? I'd rather not use bluetooth to stream my iPod. Would much prefer a direct connection.

On my 2010 SRX there is a compartment in the armrest that has a USB port. I am hoping that this is replicated in the 2013 model.

And how many DC ports are there? On the 2010 model there was one in the armrest and one where the CUE compartment now stands.

    Thank you as always

There are three USB ports in the SRX. One behind CUE/HVAC, and two in the centre console. I believe there is two power ports, and one SD card reader in addition to an aux port as well.

    Captain,

So nothing in the armrest compartment anymore?

Two of the USB's, the SD card reader, and aux port are in the centre console.

    Ahhh, okay.

Bit disappointed. Was hoping to be able to hide both my iPod and phone somewhere.

Looks like one will have to be out in the open....unless I am missing something.

Thanks for your help this morning, Captain.

    ----------

    I am thinking.....

If I want to hide both my phone and iPod I could buy some sort of Y adapter one male to 2 female USB.

    Just have to find one.

I'm new to the SRX forum and have had a 2013 SX for about a month. As has been reported previously, there is one USB port behind the CUE door in the dash and two USB ports in the center console. You could plug in three phones and/or iPods simultaneously and have them completely hidden.

Another thought. I transferred all the music from I Tunes to a USB drive. You have to convert everything to MP3 format. Then plug in the USB and keep the IPOD at home. I think there is also a SD slot in the console that could be used for this same purpose. The display reads the song titles and artists.

Also two DC outlets on the back side of the console. Easier to use from the back seat, but also could be accessed from the front, just not while driving

Does the 2013 SRX store multiple CD's or do you to use jump drive, etc?

It may be able to store music but the jump drives can hold 100's of CDs and are so cheap why bother.

    Good point.

How big is the Internal Hard Drive?

I hope that when uploading lossless music to it that the software doesn't compress it.
