Change Default from XM to FM?

    Hi everyone,

I tried searching the threads but wasn't able to find what I was looking for. I have a 2010 SRX Premium with the touchscreen Navigation. Everytime I turn on my car it defaults to XM radio. Does anyone know how to change this default to FM?

    Thanks!

I am annoyed by the same problem. I called Cadillac customer service and the result was because it is a satellite radio, it will always come on in this mode. Sorry I couldn't get a better answer!

Folks, your problem is that your Radio/Nav unit needs to be replaced. It is supposed to remember the last setting you had it on be it AM, FM, XM, or even the AuxIn or Hard drive. Mine does. But that's because I've had to have the Radio/Nav unit replaced not once, but twice!

I'll bet your Nav destination doesn't remember your last entered State either. In addition, do you get the Nav warning screen every time you select the Navigation? If so, I'm not surprised as these are all things that I was experiencing.

By the way, take a look at the top of the forum threads and you'll find one that says "How to Google search only this forum". Read it and try it out. You will find that this topic has been beat to death on here.

You may only have needed just an update or "reflash" with your software... either way the problem should be fixed with the new Nav/ Infotainment system installed.

If you have an XM subscription, make sure the dealer reactivates it on your new Nav/Radio before you leave the dealership. If you go home and try to do it yourself, you'll most likely get hit with a $15 fee from XM. When I went to pick up my SRX, they had not transferred the XM to my new Nav/Radio. I refused delivery until they fixed it.
