    Mushy Brakes

I know each car has a different brake feel, but these brakes are pretty mushy and soft. You really have to push down hard to get a strong response. Is there anyway to adjust this? Is this normal for everyone else's?

My 2010 Premium's brakes aren't mushy at all. Did you test drive the car before you bought it?

You might have a problem as our brakes are firm and provide a great feeling pedal, as good or better as our Corvette.

The brakes on mine have a great feel. Not mushy.

    Re: Mushy Brakes

Mine have great feel. If you want, you can try and bleed all the fluid out and move to dot 4 or 5 level brake fluid. It might help...

    Re: Mushy Brakes

Umm maybe I don't mean mushy, maybe I mean hard to push? Like u need a heavy push instead of my previous cars feeling easy to push power assisted and crisp. Sometimes I feel like Fred flintstone. Just got out of an Infiniti and drive my wifes Mazda and the brakes are easy to get a response from. Yes I test drove it.

    Re: Mushy Brakes

Then, maybe you need dot 3 or 2 level brake fluid? lol

All of the 2010 SRX's i drove all had the same pedal feel. 3 Lux AWD's, and one Lux &Performance AWD. Now, they DO change steering feel when moving from the non Premium to a Premium. That much I know!

You may have a leaky or faulty power brake booster; it's a new vehicle, bring it back to the dealer.
