    Noob Question

Howdy from Texas, My wife and I are looking at the SRX to replace our 2006 Acura MDX. Can anyone from a southern "HOT and HUMID" climate comment on how the A/C performs in these vehicles? Thanks in advance.

No problems in Arizona where it gets really HOT, especially when you use the remote start to give it a brief head start as you're walking across a parking lot. That 30 seconds makes a world of difference.

Southern Oklahoma, 90 miles north of Dallas. No problems, even in last summer's scorcher. freeze your buns off if you want.

No problems cooling in SE Georgia near NE Florida. Starts cooling very quickly even in very hot weather. The ability to have a different temperature going to driver and passenger side works great. I like the air to be much cooler than my wife does and she would need to wear a sweater or jacket if this feature was not on the SRX.

Just get it tinted and a good sun shade, that make a world of difference on the black dash.

I will sometimes use myCadillac app on my iPhone so I don't have to be in line of sight of my SRX to give me a head start on AIR or HEAT. Very handy to have indeed!

    Re: Noob Question

It looks like they convinced you, since your user info states:

2012 SRX Premium Black Ice Metallic/Ebony.

Some early 2010's (mine) had problems. A very small percent though. Big enough
    problems that I traded it.

Congrats, enjoy, and many happy miles! Thanks for chosing GM.

    Re: Noob Question

Yep JMJim, sure did. Also my dealer had just traded for clean one owner low mile 09 Escalade that I bought as well. My favorite color, Stealth Gray with Ebony interior. Had a 2007 Suburban this color and really missed it. I was tired of herding a 2008 F250 CC LWB base truck around!!!!!!

    Thanks again gentlemen.

    Re: Noob Question

I did tint my two front side windows to be closer to rear windows primarly for looks. I keep my sun roof shade open a lot in the summer. I do use iPhone app some to turn on in advance but mainly in cold weather.
