The SRX seats are great! I went on an 8000 km round trip to Vegas and back and i never had that 'got to get out of the car' feeling.
Perhaps age is a consideration here. Capt'n you're 25. The body can take a lot of abuse at that age. I know because I "abused" my 25 year old body a lot. LOL!! Perhaps the OP is an older individual. (Man, it sure would help if everyone updated his/her profile.)
I personally find the seating on my [wife's] 2011 Luxury a bit on the firm side but with the multitude of available adjustments I am always able to change something around in order to stay comfortable during long stints.
The last 2 cars I had were Mercedes. One was a C240 and the other was an E350. German seats are terrible. The seats in my 2011 SRX are much more comfortable, especially the extendable seat bottom. We drove from Florida to New Hampshire and Niagara Falls this past summer and my bottom never got sore like it used to in the Mercedes. What we do miss from the E350 is the seat adjusters being in the door. It made adjusting the seats much easier. I don't think you'll miss the German seats.
My wife prefers the seats in my 2011 SRX to the seats in her 2008 SRX. She has stenosis of the spine and we bought the 2011 because of the seats.
I'm in my late 50's with no bottom padding (so-to-speak). I hope this helps.

Re: Driver Seat Comfort ?
I find the seats to be very supportive and comfortable. If you are used to very soft seats you may need to get used to it, but in the end the more supportive seat will be better for you. I am a chiropractor and these seats get my stamp of approval! In my Infiniti the seats were "cushier"( is that a word) and you felt like you were in a lazy boy recliner. However, the seat bottoms were so short i felt it pushed into the bottom of the middle of my hamstrings and I would have to adjust the seat bottom on a downward angle. The firmness of the SRX seats, plus the extendable seat bottom make it a good fit. Now if they only had a bit more side bolster, they would hold me better when I take a exit ramp at 60. Some slipping and sliding they way I drive...
The seats in our 2012 Lux are OK, not good; pretty firm, but with no lateral support. I am probably spoiled because the seats in our Corvette fit so well and allow you to feel like part of the car. No such feeling in the SRX.
