Size of nut for battery cable bolt on 2010 SRX

What size nut fits the bolt in the battery cable attached to the positive terminal on 2010 SRX? Standard or metric, fine or coarse thread? I want to attach the positive lead for fog lights without disconnecting the battery since I have plenty of threads left on the bolt. Thanks in advance for the info.

find another attachment point, i have seen many people do what you want to do and you will have issues with cable not retaining tension on the battery

SSConv, I think he is saying he will ADD another nut to the bolt, and sandwich the connection in between the original nut and the extra one (since he says he has extra threads left on the bolt). I say this without even looking at whether the battery had posts or screw-in connections.
But, if I recall, there were a few different connection points; perhaps a buss, where you could get +12v...

I gave up trying to find an additional nut to fit the battery cable bolt. I just put tension on the cable connection to make sure that I didn't lose power, took the nut off, added the ring connector, replaced the nut, and retightened. By using a remote switch for the fog lights, didn't have to go through the firewall. It switches the lights on and off just fine.
