What to look for before the 36k bumper warranty is up

We are probably about a year or so away from the bumper to bumper warranty is up which I do believe is 36k. Is there anything I should pay special attention to and have it brought in for? I have read up on other posts with different problems people have had but was wondering if I could get others to chime in. Thanks.

Warranty should be 4yr/50k - check with your favorite dealer to make sure.

Alternatively you can PM, email or call me with your VIN and I'll check for you.

My advice is to go ahead and buy the extended warranty if you plan on keeping the car for more than 4 years/50K miles. One electronic glitch can equal the entire warranty cost and this car is full of electronics.

    Or 4 year / 80 000 kms Bumper to Bumper, and 5 year / 160 000 kms if you're Canadian!

Isn't it interesting that the U.S. gets to pay for R&D expenses but the people in Canada enjoy a better warranty? Let's not even talk about pharmaceuticals.

From what I hear parts are crazy expensive in Canada.

Re: What to look for before the 36k bumper warranty is up

How do we enjoy a better warranty Trippy? Or does math escape you?

    50 000miles = 80 000kms
    100 000 miles = 160 000kms

I want to know why our dollar is worth more then the US, yet we still have a $10 000 - $15 000 premium on most of our vehicle purchases...

And yea, Rippy, our parts are approximately 30% more up here. That's the cost of 'free trade' I guess!
