Maybe you have a hard time reading and comprehending English since you have been studying all those Indian job applications. I didn't say anything about the peopoe they employ, I said the PROFITS are going straight back to JAPAN. If they weren't here in the US, more factories building more American products would be employing American workers, and the profits would be staying here in our country. Send me a note from the umemployment line when you are phased out in favor of an overseas competitor. I usually just hang up on customer service when I get someone who is obviously not from this country and ask for an American rep. Now, I think I will just tolerate the non-american reps, and who know maybe someday it will be you. This is the last I will say on the matter, since you are obviously too stupid to get the connection between American companies profits going overseas, and your own job flying out the window. Send us a note from India, if they will even have you.

If it makes you happy let me share with you that I have been laid off 6 times in my 20+ year career due to outsourcing. If you're excited because of my misfortunes then all I can say is "what a life you must have". My company has a BIG office in Bangalore. We are in the process of sending our latest software product to that office. In fact, our company told us that all new hiring would be done in Bangalore.

Since the SRX is manufactured in Mexico, I failed to see the difference. GM has outsourced it manufacturing while it's design has remained here. Why? Because of the greedy corporations who don't want to pay a living wage for hard work.

I am tired of your personal attacks and I'm glad to hear you say "This is the last I will say on the matter."

I have learned a great deal about human personalities by observing you and others on this board. It makes me ever so grateful that I'm not forced to have to be around people like you on a daily basis. You are obviously a very wounded ego.

    Very sad indeed.

OK, you guys get a yellow card,
I stilll have no car. Latest is that they are ordering all new lines to go with my new compressor, evaporator, etc. They have checked the software and it is the newest version. Not sure why new lines will fix this and now into second week of car in shop...

Hopefully, they will get the problem fixed eventually. I know it is frustrating. Our 08 CTS, three months old and less than 1500 miles on it developed water leaking in two cylinders. I had a very frustrating 6 weeks with GM, wanting to Band-Aid the engine.
Thaks to a very good dealership service department, and more importantly the service manager, GM finally put an entirely new engine in the car. After that no more problems before we traded it on the SRX. It was frustrating, but all things mechanical break. I didn't run out crying no more American cars for me, and eventually I was rewarded with the car I paid for. Hopefully this will be the case for you.

Got the SRX back from service and they said the A/C was overcharged and they fixed that and said it was cooling to factory specs. I guess it just doesn't get as cold as older cars did. One thing I thought was odd is the service guy told me to turn it way down when it was really hot outside. I didn't say anything that my thoughts were, "What's the point of a climate control system with a themostat?" I'm sure glad my home system doesn't work like that. LOL!!

I still love the car though for those that might think otherwise.

Steve, I hope they got it fixed to your satisfaction. Turning it down is really strange, I get in ours, crank it down to about 67 and leave it. The car gets ice cold pretty quick, and the weather here in Southern Okla isn't that much different from Austin. This car seems to me to get as cold as any car I have had in the last ten years.

Yea, the old cars still using R-12 are lucky. That stuff is ice cold fast. That was the biggest mistake i made with my 91 Caprice, converting to R-134a. No where near as cold near as fast as R-12.

Wouldn't the service tech know the system was overcharged when he checked the coolantpressure before releasing the car and creating a bring-back for the freezing/shut down? Maybe he slept through that class at the GM HVAC certification school.

OK, many parts later, mine is fixed. Tip to all: In the config menu there is a setting for default speed on the HVAC system when in Auto mode. Mine was factory set at medium. Change setting to High and you will be much happier with the air output.

Yesterday I had my AC checked out and everything is working fine by GM specs. The service manager told me there are AC issues with the SRX that GM knows about. Engineering is now collecting information before they proceed with a solution. The tech that worked on my car thinks the evaporator on mine might have been freezing up causing mine to blow cool air instead of cold (FFWIW)

It doesn't take an economist to see what's happening; glad you find it amusing to see the distribution of wealth to America's detriment. I'm a senior systems analyst and even I can see it.
