    Re: srx for women

The new SRX is definitely selling. I've seen several by me in South Florida.. I won't lie - I see far, far, far more women in Crossovers than men.. In fact, I rarely ever see a man in a Crossover.. I do drive the one I bought for my wife - so it's not unheard of. And I can't say I haven't WANTED one in the past. I really liked the Acura MDX when it was most recently redesigned.. And I do like the SRX as well.. Had it been available when my wife was looking for one, we'd probably own an SRX... Especially the Turbo version. The only Crossover I'd consider for MYSELF (and I'm a picky (insert bad word here)) is the BMW X5 or the X5M. That's the only one I'd really be happy with.

That being said, I don't feel the new SRX is a "feminine" automobile. I have a feeling we'll eventually see more men in the SRX than most other Crossovers (except the X5).

Also not a woman here. The two in the city nearest me were sold (off the lot) to males as well. One lady ordered hers the same day as i did though, but she has to wait another month before she gets hers. (Just from what the salesman is telling me)

Where on earth did you hear that? Just look at the people on this forum to disprove that rumor. Besides, the last time I checked all cars are androgynous. So far, all of the stares (of admiration) I've gotten have been from other men.

As a woman, I must agree that the SRX is "girly."

    Re: srx for women

In all honesty, I think it's a girly car too only because of how pretty it is!! Not to say a man shouldn't drive it because my hubby drives it as well...just my thoughts!!

It's a very angular and masculine looking vehicle. Lots of attractive sharp angles. I like it.

    Re: srx for women

Is the question specifically about the SRX or all crossovers? I know there is a popular opinion out there that crossovers are more for women and that the truck based SUVs are more for men. I understand it but I don't agree. With a wife, 3 kids and carrying a lot of gear, a car wasn't a good option for me and I didn't want a big truck based SUV. I'm in the tech field (more men than women) and to me the SRX is "upscale techie". The styling borrows heavily from the CTS ... is the CTS more for women?

Maybe all of us male heterosexual SRX owners are metrosexual.

I'm not replying to this thread because I'm offended, I just don't think a potential buyer should exclude the SRX because some might think its girly or feminine.

Damn, so when I'm driving alone I have no hope of flirting with the pretty ladies?!?

And why on earth would you care what someone else thought of your vehicle, if you like it that is all that matters...
