$1000 GM loyalty rebate in Northern California?

    Hi,

I went to my local Cadillac dealer earlier this afternoon and was told that there is no $1000 GM loyalty rebate available at all (the sales manager printed out a comprehensive list of rebates available as of Nov 27, 2009). I own a Saturn that I would like to trade in.

Does anyone know if there may be a way for me to verify this information? Anyone from Northern California (or California in general) who has recently been able to leverage the $1000 loyalty rebate?

    Thanks.

    Ron

Edmunds.com is a good place to look for incentives in your area (supply the zip code). If you belong to a credit union, you should be eligible to get supplier pricing and $750 Bonus Cash. Also, $500 cash in lieu of 60 day guarantee.

Re: $1000 GM loyalty rebate in Northern California?

I don't know about Northern CA, but I do know that rebates and incentives are sometimes location specific. I got the Conquest incentive, which gives you $1,000 off for owning a 1999 or newer non-GM vehicle. Interestingly enough, my salesman didn't know about this incentive. I found out about it from another dealer. He entered my zip code into his computer to search for discounts and that incentive came up. When I told my salesman about this, he checked and sure enough he was able to confirm this. The GM loyalty rebate may be similar. However, I would not take their word for it. I would do some more research first.
