    XM Traffic | Traffic Options

    Yes its me again

I know the salesmen went over this before I drove out the lot but now I can't seem to find it again.

How do I get back to the traffic option menu?

According to the Navigation Manual on p. 64 it says Press Config>Nav>Traffic Information but I dont see Traffic Information doing this and I've done it a few times

Are the steps correct in the manual? Maybe I'm in an area where the traffic info isnt being received... but I should still see the options?

    Thanks in advance

    Happy Thanksgiving

Even though I am convinced I saw the Traffic Options menu............... Does anyone know if XM NavTraffic is available during the 3 month trial?

I've had the SRX for less than a week

Yes, it is available during this period. The other day she scared me while driving by saying (out of the blue) that a road ahead was closed...
I think that there is a setting somewhere, I'll look at mine and see...

    Great thanks.....

The strange thing is I see the Road Closed symbols on the Nav map but yet I can not get to the Traffic Info Options.

When I get home from work I'm going to contact the Navigation Disc Center see if we can figure out why the option disappeared.

Under Config>Vehicle there is an option to reset to factory. Does anyone know what this does? I was thinking of selecting this option but I'm not sure if it just resets the Audio/Nav options or something else

The reset function just resets the user options in config to the factory defaults, you then have to go in and set them up again.

OK, with the car running, and the Nav on goto Config | Nav | Traffic Info,
    select Traffic
under Show Traffic Icon > select the items that you want.

After the traffic icon is displayed on the Nav, you just press the "car icon" to get the local info.

In my case it is not very useful, but fun to play with...

    Thanks LarryK

The Traffic Info button is what I was missing....

But now after 2 hours on the phone with the Nav Center and a call to XM my issue is resolved....... The option was off at XM.... my account had XM radio 3 months but XM Traffic was off.......

Its on now and I am a happy camper
