Thumbs up New SRX Owners - What did you trade in?

Remove this ad
I'm curious what the owners were driving prior to their purchase or lease of the new 2010 SRX. What make, (Cadillac or others) and were they sedans, SUV's, etc.??

Thanks!

Re: New SRX Owners - What did you trade in?

I didn't trade anything in, but my last Caddy was an '07 CTS.

Re: New SRX Owners - What did you trade in?

Lease is up on a '07 Buick Rainier AWD that is prompting the purchase of the SRX. I love the Rainier and had a '05 Rainier and an '02 Olds Bravada before it. I had no problems with any of these SUVs and ended up giving back great vehicles at the end of my leases. If GM still had a 5 seat, truck on frame SUV it would have been the new vehicle in the garage. Times do change and I am looking forward to the arrival of my SRX in the next week or two.

Re: New SRX Owners - What did you trade in?

This should be a shocker to most on here...09 CTS-V.
21 new cars in 36 years of driving & known is better then CTS-V.
Thing is where & when is 556 HP needed? almost never can drive it as should be driven!
Plus MPG was horrible but I knew that going in so no surprises there.
My SRX is the next best thing as the dash is very close to CTS-V front & rear lights, etc.
Meaning: I somewhat feel I'm driving the CTS-V just with a lot less unneeded power.
Plus I get nice benefit besides regular gas, MPG, I get $200 per year discount car insurance.
Oh well, have I convinced you or myself? one day I will buy the V again if it's meant to be?

Re: New SRX Owners - What did you trade in?

I traded in a 2001 BMW X5 3.0, I really liked it but I had it for nine years and I thought that it was time for it to go before it really started costing me in repairs. My dilemma was that I wanted to stay at about the same luxury level, however, I didn't want / and couldn't pay through the nose to get it - enter the 2010 SRX, it has the right level of luxury at the right price. For us it was a good decision...

Re: New SRX Owners - What did you trade in?

We traded in a '06 CTS w/20,000 miles. We loved the CTS and bought the SRX on a lark. We loved the CTS but after a month, love the SRX even more!
