So, does anybody know a delete code or how to delete the wood trim from the SRX build? Or any company with some kind of replacement "not wood" for the same panels?
I really do not like the wood trim and i plan on buying an AWD Premium SRX... but if i have to live with it... i probably could.
I am sure there is some kind of delete on it, as the basic model does not come with it; so the other panels are made. I am the opposite, my wife didn't like the wood, so we bought a Basic model; no wood on dash or steering wheel or shifter; I hate it. I almost spent the $350 for a replacement wheel, which is available!
Just buy the wood trim from the dealer and either install it yourself or have them do it. I don't know how much wood trim there is, but it is quick and easy to change in the CTS. It may be a while before the trim comes in, but the car works fine until then.
Yea, wood trim equals "old" to me. Sorry, that's going to offend some people! But i much prefer the faux Carbon Fibre type stuff.
I do know that many vehicles have an OnStar/XM Delete manufacturerer code to delete it right from the factory, so i was just asking to see if anything might be the same to eliminate the wood trim... maybe, or if any aftermarket or GM companies have a CF or silver trim replacement already.
I wonder if the dealer would want to swap out my wood with a base SRX?
There is no wood trim delete on the SRX. I actually think the wood is done very tasteful in the SRX. There certainly is not an overabundance of it. And it's real Sapele wood!
Any swap you do can't be easy... or cheap.
