Seriously....the kit comes with the spare tire not mounted to the wheel?

Interesting reading the heated discussion. I will allow that most all drivers want a fullsize spare, the majority have a temporary, and almost none will use it. I'm perfectly happy to have the significant underfloor storage instead. Runflats run firmer, wear quickly, and are expensive to replace. If I'm the guy that gets a side puncture in the middle of nowhere, with roadside assistance unavailable, then I'll be pi_ _ ed, but there is almost no chance of this happening. This really is a piece of mind issue - if you need to spare to feel safe, go ahead and buy the accessory.

BTW, the spare is optional on the CTS - but you can order it from the factory.

As a matter of fact, my Cadillac dealer said that the "SRX KIT" mentioned here, does not really exist..they are merely getting the CTS kit you mention!!

Your dealer is wrong- CTS wheels are five lug and SRXs are six.

if your dealer is aware of the CTS kit then surely they could find the SRX kit in the same spot in the SRX catalog. luckily this job is not rocket science.

My thoughts exactly; BUT, they have been a Cadillac dealer for 32 days, and don't seem to have a clue?? Previously a GMC/Jeep/Kia dealer, so should be used to GM part numbers?

Yep, parts is parts. tell them to look in group 5880 in the SRX catalog. then when they quote you a higher price than what I sell it at ($295.00 plus a little shipping) give me a call at 703-824-9670

    THEIR ANSWER:

I apologize for the miscommunication, what I had said is that the order code for both the CTS and SRX is the same…ZAA (spare tire kit). That can be ordered from the factory at the time cars are ordered for stock. They can also be added after the fact through parts.

    Re: Srx spare tire kit

So ZAA is the RPO code that the factory uses when they add the spare kit to a car order. Not a "part number" that the parts department would use.

From what I understand the spare tire kit cannot be ordered by customer when ordering their new SRX.
I believe dealer can only order for car rentals. Only way to order kit is thru the dealer's parts dept or online for great price of $295.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but does this kit work for 20" wheels?
