Hello, thought you might want to see this. Added a factory brush guard to my SRX. Mega expensive for what it is, but looks good. Aver 600 bucks plus 1.5 hours fitting. By the way it's PLASTIC. I doubt if it has any impact absorbing properties, but oh well...
Thanks for sharing the pics. The guard looks good. Did having a front license plate make the install more difficult? Did you put the guard behind the bracket? Who cares about impact absorbtion, just don't hit anything!
The license plate holder replaces the standard one that came with the car. It looked like you wouldn't have to fit it. I don't have any fitting difficulty info because the dealer put it on. It's listed in the accessories catalog you can pick up at the dealers.
What I'd really like to get is some sort of rear bumper protector that plugs into the rear 1 1/4 inch hitch receiver.
