Navigation system malfunction? - Page 9

i have a freind with navi in his infiniti. he was driving from L.A to Las Vegas and while he was driving there his navi some how was scrwed up the road was going straight but the road was going towards the left. about an ahour later it was back to normal. on his drive back it did it at the exact same place. when he called the dealer about it they said yeah it does that cause supposely because of AREA 51, he even tried putting that in as one of his destinations on his navi and it wont eve let him put in the word 'AREA'.

Not really sure how the previous post applies but glad you brought this thread back up. After almost 2 months with my SRX I am getting VERY annoyed. Can't I just agree that I understand it's dangerous to use the Nav while driving and all that other stuff I must agree too -- can't I agee now, once and for all, for ever and ever, and not have to press that stupid I AGREE button every time I get into my car???

Also....I want to be able to make changes to my destinations and just USE my Nav system while driving....or at least let my passenger do it. I hate the restriction!!!!

Ah....glad I got that off my chest!

Yes, this thread has been awful quiet for the past few months--guess nobody ever hacked the system! I agree that the frustration is only getting worse with this problem. BTW, I assume the disclaimer and "safeties" are still the same on the '05s?

LMM, does the 1791 code work in your 05?

I tried to use the 1791 and my message was that I did not have a navigation map dvd and the sound continued but not picture on the screen. What else do I need to do? Thanks

i just installed a nav unit aftermarket (gm part 25851426 by delco) on my 08 srx and after it was unlock for the dealer it’s working except the volume control that doesn't respond, it is so loud. Is it a sound system issue or simply i got a bad unit?
