Cadillac SRX First Generation Forum - 2004 - 2009 Discussion, February Sales of SRX in Cadillac SRX Forums; were 2,283 vehicles according to GM. They did not give a breakdown of V6 versus V8. So sales were about ...
I think we will only see growth in SRX sales. The packages were screwy to start with, and some of that is being addressed. Once they have some time out there on the market and GM can really pinpoint the features people want, without them basically having to pay 10k for HID's or other goofy combos, i think this will be a real hit.
I believe Cadillac was a bit cocky/optimistic in their pricing, and hence the slow sales and heavy incentives/discounting needed to move them. Cadillac is dreaming if they think they can move the V8's or the loaded V6's in the upper 40's or $50k range. This truck when should be selling in the upper 30k's base configuration, and low 40k range moderately loaded. Fully loaded should not be much over $45k IMO. The main problem is that the options cost too much.

Re: February Sales of SRX
keep in mind the pricing of its competitors: Cayenne, X5, XC90, Touareg, FX45 - equipped the same its priced just about right. The option grouping hurt initial sales, as well as the over production mix of high end V8's. Now that we're starting to see more of them on the road I think sales will continue to rise...
