Terpnut, I'm EXACTLY like you. Easily 4 hours!

Which brings up a point. I/we have the option of regular, mid-grade, and premium fuel with increasing performance levels. Anyone use regular and have a comment on the performance?

As a rule, I always put the cheapest and lowest octane fuel recommended for my vehicles unless/until I notice performance degradation (which I never have). Thus it is 87 octane regular all the way for me, baby.

With the gas prices hovering right above 'ludicrous' I've been using mid-grade most of the time. I seem to average 18-19mpg on it doing mostly city driving during high traffic time periods.

Well then, I've got to fill her up for the 1st time tomorrow for a trip to Chicago & back. It'll be regular. I'll see what happens compared to the premium the dealer put in.

Definetly spent a few hours messing with the controls...and setting all the personalization features. I just filled it up today...17 gallons and $32 later I'm averaging 15 MPG.

Thought I was the only one who needed hours to figure all the gadgets out - I feel a little better about my slow process now.

Once I finally thought I got it all entered, my wife reminded me that I have to go thru it all again for her on the #2 driver! ARGHH!

Then be very careful NOT to accidentally switch your keys/remotes!

Wouldn't you know it - just a few weeks after I made my purchase, GM offers an additional $1,000 off on the SRX. You know, I love this vehicle so much that I'm not at all upset.

Not a big change in out the door price since the Instant value certificates have been available for almost 2 months.
I got $1,000 in Instant value certificates plus the $1500 conquest cash.

I still feel that the MSRP of the SRX should be lowered $1800-2300.

However, they did get rid of the "Sign and Drive" leasing deal that offered fairly favorable terms. I imagine they would rather sell more cars than lease them, especially if they are having to give somewhat sizable incentives on the vehicles.
