    Drive belt replacement

How difficult is it to replace the drive belt on a 2006 Cadillac SRX V6 engine? I hope is not as "easy" as the headlight bulbs!

Straight forward and easy, nothing extra to do.

    Re: Drive belt replacement

Are you talking about the serpentine belts on the front of the engine? just use a 3/8" ratchet to back off the belt tensioners. Pretty straight forward.

Yeah those! They started to make a noise and I noticed one is very worn-out.

    Re: Drive belt replacement

Noise is likely the tensioner or idler pulley.

So, I just replaced both driveblets on my SRX.It wasn't that difficult, I just had to loosen the mechanical fan (only 4 bolts) and remove old belts. Now the engine is very quiet.Thank you all for your comments and help.
